Whitney passed away suddenly one cold, dreary night.
What was he supposed to do without Whitney? he thought sadly. Sighing, Victor tossed the ball to the hoop and watched it bounce off the rim and bounce out of the yard.
Figured he couldn't even shoot a decent hoop anymore....
He missed his family.
It wasn't as fun cooking for one.
Or talking to a machine.
Victor held the phone to his ear. "This is Lance, leave a message after the beep." Taking a deep breath, he said, "Hi Lance, this is Dad. I was just calling to see how you're doing with school. Call me back, okay? Just when you get a chance."
Sighing, he looked around his spotless kitchen and filled up the sink to scrub the counters. Anything to pass the time...
..and put off dreaming about his lost love....
Awww poor Victor. His kids need to have a heart.
