Elise woke up in the middle of the night when the cramping became too constant to ignore.
"It's time Kent," she panted.
Kent slowly got out of bed, blinking his eyes. "I'm up! I'm up!" he said trying to pry his eyes open. "What do you need? What's going on?"
And Kent gazed into the eyes of his beautiful baby girl, Eve.
Before long, it was time for a birthday. Anthony was so happy to see this day. He loved his little granddaughter. If only Sharon had lived long enough to see their little girl. Sharon had always wanted a little girl of her own.
And little Eve was a vision! Such beautiful eyes!
Anthony spent as much time with her as possible, especially since Elise was laid low with another pregnancy. Teaching her to walk, to talk & all the nursery rhymes he could remember!
Tucking her in, he kissed her forehead. "Sleep tight, princess," he whispered.
And that was where Kent found him in the morning. Anthony's passing was hard on the family.
